Pranay T. Ramdev, MD, FACS, is the founder and president of Vascular Interventional & Vein Associates (VIVA) in Vero Beach and Fort Pierce, Florida. Dr. Ramdev is a Harvard University fellowship-trained and board-certified vascular surgeon with over 20 years of experience offering unparalleled care.
Dr. Ramdev received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire. He completed his training with a fellowship in vascular and minimally invasive endovascular surgery at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Before opening his medical practice on Florida's Treasure Coast, Dr. Ramdev was appointed to the faculty at the University of Miami/Miller School of Medicine as Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery. While there, he trained vascular surgery interns and residents. Dr. Ramdev also performed numerous vascular, endovascular, and vein procedures at Jackson Memorial Hospital — one of Florida's largest and busiest hospitals.
Dr. Ramdev's extensive clinical experience includes all aspects of arterial and venous surgery, including minimally invasive/endovascular procedures. He specializes in open and endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms, endovascular repair of thoracic aortic aneurysms, endovascular treatment and bypass surgery for peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery surgery, and minimally invasive non-surgical treatment of varicose veins.
Dr. Ramdev's skills and experience in minimally invasive vascular techniques have drastically reduced postoperative hospital stays and promoted faster recovery times for his patients. Some common vascular conditions that Dr. Ramdev treats include varicose veins, spider veins, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA), thoracic aortic aneurysms (TAA).
